Hi, I’m Pratik.
And this is the story of
Homely Harmony.
I grew up in a household and family
where music was a part of life.
My dad would play music on the
cassette/CD/DVD player, the VCR
and every other media player that was
available at the time - the early 2000s.
I was exposed to various genres of music
from a young age and was surrounded by
musicians (my dad as well, who himself is
a very skilled musician)
because of the fact that my family would go to church, where once again,
music is an integral part of the culture.
When you think about it,
most of you
reading this would be able to relate
because
I’m sure that, just like me,
you were exposed to music.
...
Whether it was at home, at places of religious worship and gathering, during commute - in the car and radio, or just nature itself; birds singing their
sweet God given songs.
I never thought I’d have a career in music or make a living through music,
least of all teaching music!
I always wanted to be a professional footballer
(or soccer player as Americans would say).
But God works in mysterious ways and
I can see that He has given me
the skillset, experience, knowledge and
environment where I have the opportunity
to provide professional Music Education
to those who desire and seek to learn,
especially in India.
And that’s exactly what I began doing at the age of 18,
during the second semester of my Bachelor of Music in Music Education,
in Bangalore, India,
in the year 2017.
Soon after, in May of 2018,
‘Homely Harmony’ was born.
